When I first started thinking about offering art prints, I knew I wanted a high-quality paper but wasn’t sure where to start. Most of my sales came from my Etsy store at the time (I was selling downloadable digital art then), and I was still a nomad, so I couldn’t keep any inventory with me. I needed a printer that would integrate with Etsy and could handle the printing and shipping on my behalf. After searching for printers who worked in this capacity, I found FinerWorks and decided to test out their prints.
I ordered a sample pack of their fine art papers and narrowed my favorites down to 3 selections. After running test prints on those 3 paper types, I ultimately decided on the Sunset Cotton Etching fine art paper. The feel of the paper is what initially drew me to this choice. It has a slight texture which gives it that high quality feel without being too much. The cuts on the sample were sharp and clean. The thickness of the paper was neither too thick nor too thin. It truly seemed to be the goldilocks of paper. Then when the sample orders came in, there wasn’t even a question. I loved the vibrancy of the colors and the sharpness of the linework.
