Hi! I’m Amber, I’m a lettering artist and type designer based in the United States. In 2019 I left my career in the film business to move to LA (perhaps a strange choice for someone leaving the industry, but c’est la vie) to become an aerial instructor. Then when all the gyms shut down in 2020 I took the time to learn, learn and learn some more. I got into graphic design, and from there quickly turned to lettering and eventually type design. I’m now a work from home artist and designer, which is convenient since my partner and I are currently nomads. He still works in film and television, so we travel together with our dog to wherever he’s working on a project and then live the nomad life in between. Luckily, all I need is my iPad, computer and a little creativity and I can work from anywhere!

I’m proud to announce my new artistic direction moving forward which is lettering art based on neighborhoods in a given city. I grew up in Manhattan, KS before moving to Charleston, SC. I then bounced around between there, Wilmington, NC and Charlotte, NC while I worked in the film business before leaving that industry and moving to Los Angeles, CA. Since then, my partner and I have travelled extensively for his job including places like Boston, MA, Austin, TX, and Philadelphia, PA, even France!
